Sharing the Dance
Ecstatic Expansion is an experiential program that explores new thoughts, feelings and physical skills to maximize your fun & pleasure on the dance floor. Through step by step guided exploration and practice with others, discover and develop a deeper relationship with yourself, others and the community as a whole.
We share the dance floor, yet each of us brings our own unique movement and energy into the space. How is your dance experience influenced by others on the floor? How does your dance in turn influence those around you?
Life is a Dance! Expanding your skills and awareness can deepen your capacity to fully experience yourself, relate to others and amplify your personal freedom, growth and joy.
Elements of the curriculum include: creating clear shared intentions that inform and ground your experience; physical/kinesthetic and touch-based skills that invite experimentation and build confidence; embodied experiences that awaken and sharpen the 'felt experience'; attitudes that foster social acceptance, openness, inclusivity, belonging, curiosity, playfulness & non-attachment; fully entering, sustaining and completing different forms of individual and community engagement; expanding your potential to fully engage yourself and others.
Teachers or Space holders of any class or group dance modality : Create an environment that invites, supports, explores and expands the experience of dancing intimately within the collective.

Harmony is a life-long explorer of movement & subtle sensation. I've watched her evolve this form, and it is luscious.

"Our dance, with power, grace, fun, play. You were teaching me, in moments, how I can hold you more freely, with innate strength just by aligning myself with awareness, in connection to Mother Earth.
You taught me from a place of absolute knowing, and maybe it was a basic technique to you, but the presence you had, to see me, to know what I needed and could accept, to show me how I could be a better dancer/lover to a woman; it was exactly what I needed.
It felt like love....you were engaging, present, alight and in flight with me. I felt it, I was _so_ there.
... You impacted me, left an indelible mark. You're a milestone in my life."
I see Harmony's work as integrating a positive body awareness into the psycho-spiritual health of the human being. Her work also helps us to get and stay in touch with our bodies' natural tendency for well-being, and integrates the body's pleasure in a way that's easy to accept despite our cultural heritage of pleasurephobia."
